One of the most satisfying things about working as ECD at Tangible was getting the opportunity to commission one of the UK’s finest photographers, Igor Emmerich to produce imagery for the agency website. ‘Bunny’ won the 8th Annual International Color Awards in 2015, ‘Powerlifters’ won bronze in OneEyeland Photography Awards 2015.
The agency strap-line was ‘Return On Individuality' and my Head Of Art Rod Marsh and I spent a long time talking to Igor about what that meant. Here are the results:
’Chicken Bone John’: We found him deep in the wilds of Birmingham, in his workshop, making guitars out of cigar boxes. Find him at chickenbonejohn.com
‘Girl with the moustache tattoo’: An eccentric and highly fashionable hair salon owner who was paradoxically ‘ the enemy of fashion’, Lindsey was a great study
‘Jazzy Dog’: We sent Igor along to a dog groomers in Bethnal Green called Groom Dog City for an event of sorts, where some of the capital’s more imaginative dog-owners celebrate their unique style
‘Bunny’: A long-suffering ‘chugger’ moving on a wave of commuters across London Bridge
‘Shoe Shine’: It’s all about the socks.
‘Urban Bowling’: Yes it’s a thing - Purley Bowling Club
‘Tea party’: The chicken-loving Stead family of Forest Row
‘Powerlifters’: Del and John, former world champions at their game and well into their 70’s.
